Manual Gearbox
The manual gearbox connects the driver's right hand to the wheels through a mechanical linkage. Three pedals, a shift lever, and the satisfaction of a perfectly executed downshift. The manual is less efficient, slower in measured acceleration, and more demanding than any automatic. It is also more rewarding, more engaging, and increasingly rare. The third pedal is disappearing from European sports cars.
